Leadership Development Abundant Life Church follows the principles of New Testament ministry especially exhibited in the Church born and described in the book of Acts. It is clear from the writings of Luke and the Apostles that the first century church was much different than the modern and post-modern churches of our day. The most notable difference is the participation of the entire body of Christ in ministry as opposed to a few “professional clergy.” Part of our overall mission is to help Christians discover their gifts and ministry potential and provide opportunities to fulfill the calling God has placed on the lives of all believers. Through “Leadership Development”, we strive to provide training, guidance, encouragement, and support to become everything God desires for you to be in His Kingdom. The Church must walk in obedience to the Holy Scriptures. The Great Commission was given by Christ to all of us. It’s not a matter of when, but who will choose to obey. It is a matter of urgency. It was a matter of urgency 2000 years ago when Christ spoke the words of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20. It was 50 years ago and it is still today. So even today there should be an even greater sense of urgency knowing that we are quickly approaching the coming of the Lord. Will he find us faithful? Jesus said,”Say not ye, there are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already for harvest.” (John 4:35) At Adundant Life Church we believe that every program, ministry and or function of the Church should have an evangelistic appeal in its approach. The Great Commission is a personal calling. In the Great Commission, Jesus calls every Christian to step out in faith and spread the Good News. This is faith in action! People who obey this command change their spiritual lives forever! It could be spreading the Good News to a neighbor or moving to another country to reach the people there. It could be sharing with less fortunate kids down the street or spreading the Word in a town two hours away. Wherever we go, every faithful Christian is compelled through obedience to share the Gospel. If you're a believer in Jesus Christ, where has He called you to go? Who has God put on your heart to share the gift of salvation? What small or large steps can you take, with the knowledge that Christ will be by your side, "to make disciples of all the nations"? At Abundant Life Church we want to help you discover your calling and train you to be a witness for Christ wherever you go. Worship Music Ministry Commonly, worship is considered to be the singing and praise part of a church service. While that is part of it, worship is truly so much more than that. God is not interested in the mechanical forms of worship; He is interested in a heart that cries out to glorify Him. True worship is a life that honors Him. Man and woman were created to worship God and even the hosts of Heaven worship Him. We want to fulfill the words of Jesus who said in John 4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. Here at ALC, music and media are just vehicles that we use to help us surrender ourselves in heart felt worship to God. In the whole process we glory Him and not ourselves! In return God gives us His presence that changes us and when the presence of the Holy Spirit is here miracles can happen.
